My fitness journey began in lockdown, when I was overweight and out of breath just walking. Running became my escape, but I took it too far and ended up with anorexia. Therapy helped me rebuild a healthier relationship with food and exercise, and I’ve found balance again. That experience inspired me to train as a counsellor, and I’m now halfway through my studies.
More recently, I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis. The pain has been overwhelming at times, and while I still love running marathons, flare-ups pushed me to try Reformer Pilates—and it’s been life-changing.
Pilates not only eases my physical pain, it calms my mind. It’s shifted how I see movement: no longer about punishing my body, but about listening to it, nurturing it, and finding peace.
I’m currently completing my Level 3 Reformer Pilates training and can’t wait to help others find the same connection— my classes will involve using movement to heal, strengthen, and restore both body and mind.
